We are a Congregation founded in Alba, Italy, by Blessed James Alberione, on August 20, 1914. We were born to evangelize with the media and committed to evangelization, having the Bible as our main publication and in human promotion, with the means more effective communication. Our mission is not only to use new languages and technologies, but also to be a protagonist in thinking about communication, helping it to become ever more human in the light of the good news of Jesus Christ. In fact, today communication is a true mechanism that strongly influences peoples lives in all its dimensions.In Brazil we arrived on August 20, 1931 at the port of Santos, bound for the city of São Paulo. The first Pauline Fathers in Brazil were the Italians Xavier Boano and Sebastião Tosso. Brazil, “land of all peoples”, was the first country to receive the seeds of a new form of evangelization: through the media. And the first city to receive such a gift could be none other than São Paulo, the metropolis that bears the name of the tireless “apostle of communication”: São Paulo the Apostle.
